National Construction Summit Dublin 2025

Fire Protection in Ireland

Sharing our passive fire protection expertise with the Irish market

With a growing presence in Ireland due to our involvement in multiple major construction projects across Dublin, it was high time that we made a splash at Ireland’s premier construction exhibition, the National Construction Summit

National Specification and Supply Chain Manager Adam Taylor and Specification Sales Manager Grant Barlow were accompanied by Marketing Manager Charles McIntyre, collectively forging connections with contractors and fellow suppliers within the construction industry.

Understanding market challenges

The key challenges we found when speaking with attendees involved:

Regulatory Compliance: Proper education and knowledge sharing for clients, architects, and contractors is required to ensure full understanding and compliance with Ireland’s Building Regulations. Tenmat’s CPD offering, as well as our site support and toolbox talks, garnered a lot of interest.

Installation Issues: Some of those we spoke to highlighted issues around installation. Supporting contractors means they are better equipped to install products correctly, ensuring they perform as intended. Regular site visits and reports are also important in addressing issues as they arise.

Quality Assurance: Training also helps contractors recognise high-quality PFP products and avoid substandard materials. Explaining the difference in materials, manufacturing process, and performance is crucial.

Tenmat Fire Protection & Modular construction

I’m pleased to share how fantastic this event has been for Tenmat. We stood out as the only passive fire protection manufacturer there, and the interest in our products was incredible.

The summit was a great chance for us to show off our innovative fire protection solutions that are key to making buildings in Ireland safer. The positive feedback from attendees really highlighted how much our dedication to clarity around our products and their manufacture is appreciated. We had some excellent conversations with industry leaders and professionals, which gave us valuable insights and opened doors to new partnerships.

A big thank you to the organisers for putting together such a great event and to everyone who participated and made it a success. We’re excited to keep pushing forward with our journey of innovation and excellence in Ireland, building a safer and more sustainable future.
