If the downlight will be buried in insulation, yes. Tenmat loft covers suit LED lamps and halogen lamps up to 50W, and are tested to BS EN 60598 for heat build-up. Keeping insulation off the fitting helps LED lamps keep their light output and lamp life, and avoids the malfunction and fire risk of a lamp buried in insulation.
