Tenmat’s innovation includes a range of light covers, fire rated air valves and the most recent product – the ceiling fan fire stop –  the first in the industry to be fully fire tested on light weight “metal web joist” ceiling constructions. The full scale test included penetrations running through, and will pave the way for the future use of this type of ceiling constructions in all kinds of applications. Due to the sensitive fire performance of lightweight ceiling constructions, the fire performance of any penetration needs to be far superior to those needed for solid timber joists.
